Two Hall County teachers will receive $1,000 each thanks to a grant designed to help new teachers purchase supplies.

Delana Crandall of C.W. Davis Middle School and Heather Smith of Myers Elementary School will receive New Teacher Assistant Grants from Georgia Power.

“Teaching has always been my calling and passion. Being a part of Davis Middle School has enabled this passion to become a reality,” Crandall said. “As a first-year teacher, I am thrilled with the opportunity to purchase supplies and technology that will further enrich the learning of my students.”

All of the items purchased with the grant are intended to be the property of the teacher for use throughout her teaching career.
