Hall County Human Resources Director Bill Moats

Bill Moats, Hall County’s human resources director since 2012, will be leaving his position on March 6.

Becky Ruffner, now marketing and public relations specialist for Hall County Parks and Leisure, will serve as interim director.

Ruffner has over 30 years of human resources experience, previously serving as the county’s manager of employment and employee development and manager of compensation and benefits. She has also done a previous stint as interim human resources director.

The county will work with a search firm to fill the permanent human resources director position, County Administrator Jock Connell said.

“We appreciate Bill's leadership and expertise in the realm of Human Resources and for the advancements that he made for Hall County and its citizens during his tenure here," Connell said in a statement.

Ruffner will serve in the role starting March 9 and until a permanent replacement is named.
