SAVANNAH -- The Georgia Board of Regents voted April 16 to raise tuition for the University System of Georgia's 26 schools this fall, including the University of North Georgia. State officials say the increase is necessary to fund ongoing academic programs and to manage rising costs in areas such as health care and technology. Tuition will rise by 2.5% this fall, which ranges between $35 and $125 per semester for full-time students.
