Philip Wilheit of Gainesville was elected Wednesday to a one-year term as chairman of the Georgia Board of Regents. Wilheit currently serves as vice chairman of the 19-member governing body for the University System of Georgia, which elected him to the new post. “We have a fine group of people leading the university system during this time of change,” said Wilheit.
