A Gainesville woman was found stabbed to death Saturday in a home near Dacula in Gwinnett County.
Peggie Robinson, 61, was “suddenly attacked for unapparent reasons” at the home of Wolf Griffin on Evergreen Eve Crossing, according to Gwinnett County police.
At the time, she was acting as a “third-party intermediary” who was dropping off Griffin’s child at the home.
“Although it was clear that the suspect and victim knew each other, a motive has not been determined,” states a police news release.
The child’s grandfather, who lived in the home with Griffin, called 911 about the incident, asking to meet officers at police headquarters in Lawrenceville while sending officers to the home, according to police.
Police later arrived at the house to find Robinson’s body.
After further investigation and interviews, detectives arrested Griffin, 35, and charged him with aggravated assault and felony murder, according to police.
“There are aspects of the case that continue to be investigated,” police said.
Griffin is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
