A woman was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Friday afternoon with nonlife-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Browns Street in Gainesville.

Hall County Fire Services Chief David Kimbrell said the woman complained of lower body injuries after being hit on Brown Street at the intersection of Old Athens Highway.

Kimbrell said it's unclear how the woman was struck.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.
