The robbery suspect is a black man standing roughly 5 feet and 5 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He is believed to be roughly 23 to 25 years old with “long, thinly braided hair, reaching his elbows,” according to a news release.

Gainesville Police are looking for help identifying a robbery suspect who allegedly assaulted a woman on May 24 outside of a Gainesville convenience store.

The suspect allegedly assaulted the woman around 11 p.m. May 24 at a convenience store in the 2300 block of Browns Bridge Road. The suspect allegedly robbed her of cash and fled on foot, police said.

The amount of cash was undisclosed

The suspect allegedly struck the woman in the face with his hands.

The suspect is a black man standing roughly 5 feet and 5 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He is believed to be roughly 23 to 25 years old with “long, thinly braided hair, reaching his elbows,” according to a news release.

An accomplice, according to police, covered his face during the robbery. He is believed to be a 21- to 23-year-old black man standing roughly 5 feet and 3 inches tall. He weighs roughly 160 pounds.
