A crew from Rogers Bridge Co. removes pieces of broken concrete Tuesday morning as it prepares to replace a portion of the sidewalk leading onto the downtown Gainesville pedestrian bridge.
The pedestrian bridge in Gainesville should be repaired and reopened by this weekend. Barclay Fouts, construction project manager, said a section of sidewalk that settled and cracked is being replaced. The approximately 10-by-30-foot section is on the square, or City Hall, side of the bridge.
