A Gainesville man was accused of breaking in to a Gainesville church Jan. 29, according to authorities.

Fidel Justin Barrientos-Adams, 18, was charged with second-degree burglary.

Authorities were investigating a break-in at Pine Crest Baptist Church.

“They broke in through a boarded-up window which was the point of entry for a previous burglary,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said.

Authorities said Barrientos-Adams broke in “with the intent to commit a theft,” but nothing was reported missing.

He was booked Tuesday, Feb. 8, in to the Hall County Jail, where he remains without bond.

Multiple people are seen on surveillance footage released by the sheriff’s office on Facebook last week.

“Investigators are following leads to identify other suspects,” Ware said.

The case is still under investigation.
