Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office arrested Travis Charles Bales, 37, of Gainesville in connection with a burglary earlier this week at a residence on Athens Highway in Gainesville. Someone entered the home and stole electronics, which were then pawned at local pawn shops, authorities said. Investigators were able to recover most of the property.

Bales was charged with burglary, theft by receiving, theft by deception and obstruction.

Investigators also arrested Justin Ty Reed, 17, of Gainesville for hindering apprehension and obstruction.

Bales is currently being held without bond at the Hall County Jail and Reed has been released on $7,500 bond.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigation Division.
