The Gainesville City Board of Education on Tuesday night recognized students for their presentations during the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration.

Board member Willie Mitchell was honored for 25 years of service on the board.

In Superintendent Wanda Creel’s report, she discussed Gainesville High School’s graduation ceremony on May 22, which is to be held at City Park. The outdoor venue would allow for more guests to attend, Creel said.
