Tray Hughes Ross of Gainesville has been recognized as a hero by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission. Ross saved Harold Johnson Jr. from burning in Gainesville on Nov. 21, 2011. Johnson, 76, who is blind, was in his house after fire broke out in one of the bedrooms at night.
