Gainesville City Council unanimously OK’d property tax rates for the 2016 fiscal year, which begins July 1, at its meeting Tuesday night. A second and final reading setting the millage rate will be made when council meets May 19. Council voted keep the millage rate for the city unchanged at $3.02 per $1,000 of taxable property.
