Gainesville City Council approved a resolution Tuesday acknowledging its support for the Gainesville-Hall Community Service Center’s Legacy Link grant application. The application seeks state and federal funds for Meals on Wheels programs, the senior life center and transportation services for the elderly, and is committed to a cash match requirement. The city provided $51,505 in matching support for the current fiscal year, and has committed no more than $60,000 for the next fiscal year beginning July 1.
