Gainesville City Attorney James “Bubba” Palmour announced Tuesday that he will retire at the end of the year and not seek reappointment for 2016. There is no word yet on appointing Palmour’s replacement. John Breakfield, of Breakfield & Associates in Gainesville, currently serves as the assistant city attorney.
