Two Gainesville brothers have been charged with molesting a 13-year-old girl in separate incidents since December.
Juan Pastor-Baten, 22, and Yobany Pastor-Baten, 24, both of Gainesville, were being held without bond Friday at the Hall County Jail on the child molestation charges, according to warrants.
Both also have immigration holds on them, according to a statement from Scott Ware, spokesman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Juan Pastor-Baten waived a first appearance and his case has been sent to Superior Court, a spokeswoman for the Hall County Magistrate’s office said. Yobany Pastor-Baten was scheduled to have his first appearance Friday afternoon.
The incident involving Juan Pastor-Baten allegedly occurred in May near Gainesville, according to the warrant. He was arrested Monday, according to Ware.
The warrant against his brother stated that incident allegedly occurred between December and January. He was arrested Thursday, according to Ware.
This case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
