The Hall County Board of Commissioners is expected to discuss amended meeting minutes next week after a sharp-eyed resident spotted differences in the video and minutes of a February meeting. The commission unanimously voted in February to rename the planned six-lane section of Ga. 347 that is under construction between Spout Springs Road and Ga. 211 as Lanier Islands Parkway, to the dismay of many residents in that community who preferred Friendship Road, its traditional name. The commission also voted 3-2 in that meeting to change the name of the road between Interstate 985 and Spout Springs Road in January 2015, or when the road was finished.
