Belk and Wacoal are partnering to offer free bra fittings March 31 at the Belk at Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville.
The fittings, which don’t require a purchase, are being offered from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. as part of Fit for the Cure. Women may call 770-532-7021 ext. 287 to make an appointment.
Bra fittings take about 15 minutes. Research shows 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong size bra, which can cause health problems.
Belk and Wacoal will donate $4 to Susan G. Komen for each woman who takes part in a free bra fitting, and the donation will increase to $8 if the woman buys a bra or shapewear piece at the event. The donation would increase if more than one item is purchased. Anyone who spends more than $80 will receive a free Wacoal tote bag.
Fit for the Cure is a national initiative started by Wacoal to support Susan G. Komen’s mission “to save lives and end breast cancer forever.”
Susan G. Komen is the largest nonprofit funder of breast cancer research worldwide.
Since the Fit for the Cure effort’s beginning 16 years ago, Wacoal has educated more than 760,000 women in 411 cities in the United States and Canada about the importance of bra fit, foundation and overall breast health.
