The Georgia Mountain Food Bank has planned a food distribution for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County, located at 1 Positive Place in Gainesville.
The Georgia Mountain Food Bank expects to serve 800 households with this distribution. People who qualify for The Emergency Food Assistance Program are eligible to receive this food.
Saturday, each household receiving food will be asked to provide a name and address and sign a self-declaration form required by USDA. Volunteers and employees of the Georgia Mountain Food Bank will be on site to help and direct traffic to load each vehicle with food quickly and safely.
It is the Georgia Mountain Food Bank’s second food distribution. The first, held last month, served 526 households and approximately 2,000 individuals in Hall County and 11 other surrounding counties.
