Flowery Branch City Council approved funding for repaving of four roads.

Four Flowery Branch streets are being targeted for repaving, as City Council shored up funding for the effort Thursday night.

The council voted to transfer nearly $120,000 from its general fund to another fund that already has $212,000 budgeted for road paving.

The total repaving work will cost about $332,000 and involve paving on Gainesville Street, Lights Ferry Road, Mitchell Street and Mulberry Street.

The South Hall city had planned to also repave Church and Pine streets but decided to pull funding for that work and set it aside as contingency for the remaining projects.
