A Flowery Branch man was shot to death Sunday morning in Augusta, with authorities still looking for the person who shot him.

Buchanan Marshall, 29, was pronounced dead at 3:40 a.m. The shooting took place about 2:15 a.m., said Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen.

Marshall was shot “at least one time,” Bowen said.

“We’re still looking for the suspect,” he added.

An autopsy is scheduled for this morning at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation lab in Augusta, Bowen said.

The Richmond County sheriff’s and coroner’s offices are investigating the incident.
