As Flowery Branch continues physical growth and change, its virtual world is trying to keep up.
The city’s new website launched earlier this month with its first redesign since 2008.
“That was one of the things I had said I wanted to do when I came back and started working for the city back in February,” said City Clerk Melissa McCain. “With everything the city is doing in moving forward and progressing, I thought it was time the website progressed with it.”
The redesign cost the city $900, paid for during the 2014 fiscal year.
Looking toward the future and an even more mobile society, city leaders are thinking about app development to make it easier for the public to communicate.
McCain also said she hopes the city will soon have a more active social media presence to further connect with residents.
