Flowery Branch City Council voted unanimously to annex and rezone four “highly developable” properties on Spout Springs and Old Orr roads during its Thursday night meeting. The parcel, which is slightly bigger than 11 acres, is perfectly situated for large scale development with area residential growth and the Spout Springs widening project, city staff and council said. “Sterling (on the Lake) will double in size in the future,” said City Planner John McHenry of the subdivision that is currently zoned for up to 2,000 homes.
