Even though they were planning an indoor event, Monday’s rainy weather forced the Spout Springs branch of the Hall County Library System to postpone a featured presentation.

Hal Wilkinson, a representative of the Georgia Student Finance Commission, was expected to speak at the library Monday evening; however, according to library staff, Wilkinson was trapped elsewhere by flooding outside of Hall County.

The finance commission administers student financial aid programs, including HOPE. During Monday’s presentation, Wilkinson was discuss the HOPE program and explain the college admissions process.

The event will be rescheduled, but a date has not been set.
