A rabies alert has been issued for the Toombs Street area in Lula after a rabid raccoon came in contact with five dogs. The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab, Virology Section in Decatur and Hall County Animal Control was notified Friday that the animal was positive for rabies. This is the third confirmed case of 2013.
