Georgians may be able to buy fireworks down the street instead of across state lines under a bill that passed Monday in the House. Legislators hope legalizing the kind of fireworks allowed in neighboring states will keep more dollars in Georgia. The bill allowing the sale of “consumer fireworks” passed 119 votes to 49.
