Firefighters have put out a blaze at a two-story colonial home on Cleveland Highway. There are no injuries.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said firefighters responded to an alarm at the 4,000-square-foot home in the 5200 block of Cleveland Highway around 10:30 a.m. There was heavy smoke and fire when firefighters arrived.

The majority of the fire was in the second story and attic of the home, Kimbrell said. The homeowners were not at home.

Most of the blaze was extinguished within a half hour of firefighters arriving. They are still at the scene dousing hot spots.
