A South Hall home was damaged Tuesday night by a fire that was called in by someone passing by.
The fire on Democracy Drive off Friendship Road was called in at about 8:30 p.m., according to Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell.
The neighborhood is located between Braselton and Buford in South Hall.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured in fighting the fire, Kimbrell said.
An investigator was on the way to the scene late Tuesday, but no additional details were available as to the extent of the damage to the 6,000-square-foot home or a possible cause of the fire.
