Hall County firefighters on Monday battled a fire to a home that was destroyed in the 7900 block of Pea Ridge Road in northeast Hall.
There was heavy fire on the second floor and in the attic of a 2,000-square-foot home, Fire Chief David Kimbrell said.
Neighbors and passers-by called in the fire at 4:55 p.m.
Kimbrell said an investigator went to the scene and couldn’t immediately determine the cause.
“The fire burned out the flooring,” Kimbrell said, so the house was deemed unsafe. The family living there went to stay with relatives, he added.
