Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that occurred Tuesday morning at a bonding company near the Hall County Jail.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said a person working at Easy Out Bonding Co. at 1660 Barber Road called at about 11 a.m. to report that something was on fire in one of the offices.

The 2,500-square-foot building was evacuated, and no one was hurt.

Fire damage was confined to a single room, with smoke damage throughout the building, Kimbrell said.

The bonding company sits a few hundred yards up the road from the entrance to the 1,026-bed Hall County Jail.
