Hall County firefighters are investigating a house fire in South Hall County.

No one was injured, but earlier reports indicated someone might be trapped inside the 1,000-square-foot house in the 5000 block of Hartford Place off Stoneridge Drive.

The report came in at 4:40 a.m. and shortly after arrival, firefighters were told by the house’s occupant that no one was inside, according to Hall County Fire Services.

The fire was later put out. The cause and origin of the fire aren’t known yet, officials said.

“Crews are checking for hot spots and will remain on scene for a while,” a press release states.
