Hall County firefighters were investigating a fire to a home in the 100 block of McConnell Drive near Mountain Crest Sunday night.

Fire Chief David Kimbrell said neighbors reported the fire around 9:50 p.m. and firefighters found the 1,200-square food home burning from the rear with heavy smoke damage.

He said he was unsure if the home was being occupied.
