Fire damages Gainesville apartment unit

A Friday morning apartment blaze firefighters say was started by a juvenile did about $10,000 in damage. Gainesville firefighters responded at about 10:30 a.m. to Norwood Apartments at 1617 Park Hill Drive to find smoke showing from a window of one of the units, according to a news release from the fire department. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the room where it started.
