Hall County firefighters are battling a house blaze in the 3200 block of LaPrad Circle off Gillsville Highway in East Hall. They were dispatched to the scene at 6:33 p.m. and found that fire had consumed about 65 percent of the 2,500-square-foot home, Chief David Kimbrell said. Units saw a “large column of smoke” while approaching the house and made "a defensive attack on the structure due to the volume of fire,” Kimbrell said.
