Regardless of who’s elected president, Americans might not see much change in health care reform with neither political party having control of both Congress and the Oval Office, a Boston-based financial expert told a Gainesville crowd Tuesday. The government “may make small tweaks but not a major overhaul,” said James Slotnick, assistant vice president with Sun Life Financial, speaking at the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s fifth annual Health Care Reform Seminar. But that won’t stop Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump from touting even bigger changes to the Affordable Care Act, perhaps the legislative centerpiece of President Barack Obama’s eight years in office.
