Fifty-two foreign nationals from more than 25 countries walked into the federal court in Gainesville at 11 a.m. Friday and walked out as citizens of the United States at noon. “It’s a blessing,” Ernestine Moussa said, a resident of Loganville and former citizen of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. After years of paperwork and preparation, the men and women swore their oaths to uphold the Constitution as citizens of the U.S. “I really feel wonderful,” Moussa added, her pastor by her side for the occasion.
