The FBI is asking for help identifying a man suspected in six armed robberies around Buford and Flowery Branch in September and October.
The suspect is believed to be a light-skinned black male with a medium build, who is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with a receding hairline.
The six armed robberies are at gas stations and a retail store between Sept. 25 and Oct. 30.
The suspect’s first incident was Sept. 25 at the Marathon gas station on Buford Highway in Buford, where the man entered the store with a black mask.
“The suspect produced a silver revolver and ordered the employee to open the register and get on the ground,” according to a FBI news release. “The employee complied, and the suspect took money out of the register.”
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office previously asked for help on the suspect’s second incident, which happened at the Pure gas station Oct. 9 on Gaines Ferry Road in Flowery Branch.
The suspect similarly showed a gun and told the cashier to get on the ground, with the cashier handing over the register’s contents.
“The suspect also stole the employee’s cellular telephone,” according to the news release. “The suspect told the employee to count to (100).”
Similar incidents occurred Oct. 11 at the Lakeside Shell gas station on Buford Dam Road in Buford; on Oct. 24 at the Exxon gas station on Old Suwanee Road in Buford; and the Citgo gas station Oct. 29 on Hamilton Mill Road in Buford.
At the Citgo station, the suspect put the gun at the employee’s head before grabbing the cash drawer and fleeing, according to authorities.
The last incident was Oct. 29 at the Garnett Street Dollar General in Buford.
