Hall County Emergency Services crews recovered the bodies of a father and his step-son Saturday night who drowned earlier in the day in Lake Lanier. Dive crews from Hall County Fire Services and the Forsyth County Fire Department found the two in the lake at Mountain View Park off of Browns Bridge Road, Hall County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said in a news release. They were identified today as Jose Alfredo Benitez, 40, and Carlos Amaya, 14, both from Lawrenceville.
