Fallen tree disrupts power in Gainesville

Power has been interrupted for some traffic lights and about 100 customers in the area of Oak and Rainey streets in Gainesville.

Georgia Power spokeswoman Carol Boatwright said crews are in the area now working to restore power.

"A tree fell and took down some lines and they are working on restoring that now," she said. "But it will probably take a little while since they have to move the tree and restore lines."

She estimated power would be back before 6 p.m.
