Eyes on the Road: Resurfacing work planned in Gainesville

The Georgia Department of Transportation is planning a resurfacing project that will involve much of east Gainesville, skirting the New Holland Marketplace, which is under development. A contract has been issued for the work to take place on Ga. 369/Jesse Jewell Parkway from E.E. Butler Parkway to Limestone Parkway and then on Limestone from Jesse Jewell Parkway to U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway — an area last resurfaced in 1994. The 4-mile project will cost $1.9 million.
