Interstate 985 motorists can expect some delays today as the state Department of Transportation will close a southbound lane around Exit 16 to install signs on the side of the roadway.
The delays could begin about 1 p.m., said Mark McKinnon, a DOT spokesman.
The sign installation is part of an overall $75 million rebuilding of the Exit 16 interchange that is set to be completed in February 2010.
The project also features a new interchange at Atlanta Highway and the widening of roads in the area, including Atlanta Highway and Mundy Mill Road.
