An event Monday and Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Gainesville will allow older residents an opportunity to be “fitted” for their car. CarFit will be 2-4 p.m. both days and appointments can be scheduled by calling 800-342-9819. The program, developed by AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association, takes drivers through a 12-point checklist to make adjustments that will help the driver fit better in their car in an effort to be more comfortable and safe.
