Alumni and the community will come together to celebrate more than six decades of history Sunday afternoon during the Enota Heritage Celebration.

The event is scheduled to run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the school located at 1340 Enota Avenue, NE. It is open to the public.

Wesley Roach, principal of Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy, said alumni and area residents will have the opportunity to walk-through the school. The building is scheduled to be demolished after the school year ends to make room for a new Enota school building..

Roach said the celebration is a drop-in event and people can stay as long as they desire.

In addition, plants from the Enota campus will be available for anyone who would like to to sponsor a plant in the new Enota Garden. The PTA is also offering bricks from the original 1954 Enota building for sale for $25. The bricks will be stamped with the school’s name.
