The team from Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy took first place Saturday in the elementary school division competition of the Georgia Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl in Statesboro.

The team of 10 fourth- and fifth-grade readers will advance to the state competition, set for 11 a.m. March 7 at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens.

The Enota team will compete against R.M. Moore Elementary School of Cherokee County for the state title.

Centennial Arts Academy and Gainesville Middle School also competed in the Division One bowl Saturday. Gainesville Middle School placed third in the middle school competition.
