Kimbo Senter has announced his candidacy for the District 1 seat on the Hall County Board of Commissioners.

Senter, a Chestnut Mountain native, will challenge incumbent Commissioner Bobby Banks and Flowery Branch Councilman Craig Lutz for the South Hall seat this year.

This is his first run for political office.

Senter, 50, said he has a lot to offer the board.

“I just know I can bring a lot of compromise to the commission,” Senter said.

“I’ve got ideas on saving the county a lot of money.”

Senter is an usher at Chicopee Baptist Church and was recently nominated as a jury selection commissioner.

Senter’s family owns a concrete business. He lives in Chestnut Mountain.
