Election qualifying continues in parts of Hall

Qualifying for this November's municipal elections continued Thursday for some area cities.

Flowery Branch City Councilman Chris Fetterman qualified Thursday for the Post 2 council seat, the only person to qualify so far this week for one of one two seats.

Councilwoman Amanda Swafford, Post 1, has said she plans to run again.

Qualifying ends today for the South Hall city. Candidates can turn in their paperwork at City Hall, 5517 Main St. The fee is $144.

Qualifying also ends today for Clermont in North Hall. Up for election there are at-large seats held by John Brady, Albert Reeves and Seth Weaver.

Candidates can turn in their paperwork at Town Hall, 122 Dean St. The fee is $21.60.

Qualifying ended Wednesday for other cities, including Gainesville.

The election is Nov. 8.
