Laura Elder was appointed to be acting president of Lanier Technical College following the retirement this week of current President Russell Vandiver, the Technical College System of Georgia announced Wednesday. Elder, Lanier Tech’s vice president of administrative services, will lead the college until the arrival of a new president. Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Ron Jackson has interviewed three finalists and said he will ask the TCSG State Board to approve his choice during its April 4 meeting in Atlanta.
