Like every school system in Georgia, Hall County is slowly adjusting to a new normal.
Hall Superintendent Will Schofield, offered an email update Wednesday, March 18, morning, addressing common concerns in the community as well as actions the system is taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
He advised students, parents and Hall staff against believing inaccurate reports regarding people within the school system being tested for COVID-19.
“The district will update our team and the community, following privacy laws, if we have any employees or students who test positive,” Schofield said in the email.
The system will continue to follow its school calendar, which has designated a teacher work day for Friday, March 27. Schofield said Hall will have no online instruction or meal delivery that day.
The district has also ramped up its cleaning operations, and now has 17 foggers instead of its usual three.
The fogger devices spray a cleaning solution over a 500- to 700-square-foot area. This equipment has the ability to cover hard-to-reach places like underneath desks and tables.
Schofield encourages Hall faculty and staff who feel ill to not report to work.
“Immediately contact your supervisor and take care of yourself by contacting your primary care provider,” Schofield said.
