Bryant Quarter Road has been reopened.
The road off of Holly Springs Road in East Hall was closed Monday to through traffic because of heavy rains in the area.
County officials said water in the creek bed near the road was rising quickly and Assistant Public Works Director Kem Smith closed the road for safety reasons.
County officials also closed a portion of Ledan Extension in North Hall yesterday.
Heavy rains damaged the road just west of its intersection with Chaco Road, washing out both lanes. The road remains closed near that intersection.
"The creek was swollen from the rain. The water took the end of the culvert pipe off and blocked the culvert, which undermined and washed out the whole road," Smith said.
County officials say the public will be notified when the road reopens, but it will take at least two days.
