A free six-hour course on investigating and prosecuting DUI cases will be offered to local law enforcement and prosecutors next week in Gainesville.

The training, funded by the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety and put on by the Hall County Solicitor-General's Office, will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Gainesville Justice Center, 701 Queen City Parkway SW, Gainesville.

The program is designed to teach the "latest strategies and techniques for investigating and prosecuting DUI and related offenses that occur in this jurisdiction," according to a news release from the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia.
